Questions
The things people ask before they download.
Is Tap Health medical advice?
No. Tap Health is a wellness app that helps you understand how your food, movement and sleep show up in your sugar readings. It does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and it never changes your medication. Your doctor does that. If you feel unwell, call your doctor or 911.
Does it really understand Indian food?
Yes, and it was the hard part. Tap Health was built on its own database of Indian dishes, portions and cooking styles, because no existing food database covered them. It also knows American food, so a work lunch and a home dinner get read by the same coach.
Who is behind Tap Health?
Tap Health is built by Tapfinity Technologies, a health technology company founded in 2023. The program was designed with practicing diabetes specialists and won the Clinical Innovation Award at ATTD Asia 2025, supported by Eli Lilly. More than 250,000 people have used Tap Health so far.
Where is my data stored, and is it shared?
Your readings, meals and messages are stored securely and used only to run your coaching. We do not sell your data and we do not use health data for advertising. You can export or delete everything from inside the app. The details are in our privacy policy.
Does it work with my meter or sensor?
Any meter: type the number or snap a photo of the screen. FreeStyle Libre connects directly. Stelo and Lingo sync through Apple Health is coming in an update. Steps and sleep come from your iPhone or watch.
How do I cancel?
Your subscription runs through Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Tap Health, then Cancel. If you cancel during the free trial you are not charged. We also send a reminder two days before the trial ends.
Is it available on Android?
Tap Health is launching in the US on iPhone first. Android is coming soon.
